about

Portland’s Daryl Groetsch has been releasing sounds under the name Pulse Emitter since 2002. Using hand-built modular synthesizers, he creates torrents of sound that evoke vintage warm drones and mechanized rythyms to chaotic 8-bit crush, and everything in between. In “Planetary Torture” he captures the sounds of world downfall, destruction, and rebirth. This cdr comes housed in an envelope & insert hand-printed by Seattle lino-block artist Nic Schmidt, and is limited to 100 copies.
